Valentino Valentina Eau de Parfum Gift set (2013) review + photos

           Lately, my mom has been spending more time exploring new scents and perfumes. She often reports back to me what she's tried --- and whether they've been hits or misses. I love our discussions, as it's fun to get to know her scent preferences and how they compare to mine; they're also a great way for me to covertly collect information on what perfumes she might like for Mother's day (which is right around the corner)!

          A couple weeks ago, Mom mentioned that she had discovered Valentino Valentina. With this in mind, you can imagine my delight at receiving the brand new Valentino Valentina Eau de Parfum gift set today, courtesy of Valentino Parfums! Thanks to this wonderful coincidence, I now have both the perfect gift for my mom, as well as some gorgeous photos of Valentino Valentina to share with you today!

          The Valentino Valentina Eau de Parfum gift set is packaged in a beautiful blush pink box topped with a chiffon rosette.It contains a generous 2.7oz Valentino Valentina Eau de Parfum and 6.8 oz Valentina Hydrating Body Lotion. Both are full sized products that would typically be sold separately. As you can see below, both have gorgeous three-dimensional detailing with a trio of rosettes.

          Valentino Valentina is an irreverent Italian floral oriental perfume that captures the quest for today's Italian dolce vita. I experience the fragrance as a smooth blend of white florals, strawberry, and vanilla. The bergamot and white truffle add dimension and sophistication to the blend. It's an elegant scent and should please many noses. I've been reaching for my personal bottle quite frequently as of late; I'll be writing a more in-depth review of Valentino Valentina (as well as the new Valentina Assoluto) in the coming days, so be sure to stay tuned!

              The Valentino Valentina Eau de Parfum gift set ($112 for $160 value) is a breathtakingly beautiful (and beautifully scented) gift that is sure to delight moms come Mother's day. I can't wait to present this to my mom on May 12! Of course, this would be a nice set for any other occasion as well, self gifting included. The Valentina gift set, as well as the Valentina Assoluto gift set, is available at fine department stores nationwide starting April 2013.
