LUSH Little Green Bag review + swatches
For Earth Day, I'll be indulging in the LUSH Little Green Bag, thanks to the folks at LUSH Cosmetics! Inside, you'll find four solid bath and body products and one travel tin --- all wrapped up inside a delightful leaf-patterned organic cotton scarf. LUSH solid products are eco-friendly for a number of reasons; they are preservative-free, packaging-free, and lighter, which means less energy is required to ship products. Of course, this makes them easier for you to carry around on your travels as well!
LUSH Sexy Peel Soap is an fresh citrus soap that I can't get enough of! True to its name, it's full of peels; it has a mixture of orange, lemon, and lime peels to give it its zingy scent. LUSH Each Peach Massage Bar is a citrusy massage bar. It has moisturizing mango kernel oil and cocoa butter. The uplifting scent comes from the inclusion of lime, mandarin, and orange essential oils. As you might expect, it pairs perfectly with Sexy Peel soap. Massage bars can, obviously, be used for massage, but they're great for regular moisturization as well. LUSH Mini Sugar Scrub is a solid scrub that's great for getting rid of unwanted bumps and cellulite. It also contains fragrant ginger and fennel to stimulate circulation!
As you might know by now, I'm a big fan of LUSH Shampoos; I've been using their solid bars for years (see my reviews of LUSH Jumping Juniper and LUSH Seanik). They're super sudsy and great for clarifying the scalp. I've been wanting to try LUSH Squeaky Green Shampoo Bar for some time now, so I'm excited to see it in this set. It has rosemary, nettle, peppermint, and tea tree oils for treating and cleansing stressed scalps. It's also accompanied by a LUSH Shampoo Bar Tin. I actually have a couple tins already; they're necessities if you like LUSH shampoo bars. The bars are perfect for travel and storage. You never have to worry about weight, liquids, or spillage!
The LUSH Little Green Bag ($25.95) is a hit for me, as I'm already a big fan of LUSH's travel friendly, preservative-free solid formulas. It has everything you would need for a shower routine and would be a nice set for those looking to get into LUSH products, or even for seasoned LUSHies like me!
Thanks for reading! Have you tried any of LUSH's solid products? What are your current favorite LUSH products? How are you celebrating Earth Day?
Love, Dovey.

this is so cute! :) I love sexy peel and have barely used sugar scrub so far haha! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Joyce! Sexy Peel is awesome for citrus lovers :)
DeleteThat looks like a wonderful little kit. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with Lush, especially if the products are green since they usually are my favorite ones!
ReplyDeleteHi Annick, thanks! I've definitely been enjoying it thus far! I think you're right --- green products are awesome!
DeleteHey Dovey, I've heard a lot about LUSH shampoo bars but I've never tried any! I guess I'm just not too sure what to expect! I do really like this kit though. Maybe it's a good opportunity to start experimenting!
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny, I love how bubbly the shampoos are! This kit is actually quite a nice one to start with since it has a number of classic 'LUSH' products :)
DeleteRehab was the first Lush shampoo I bought. Two years later, I am only on my third bottle and still in love. I've also tried their conditioners which are definitely different but work tremendously over time
DeleteHi Anonymous, wow, that's some love! I haven't tried many of the liquid shampoos. I think I felt the same way about Seanik though!
DeleteLove the sound of Sexy Peel soap! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, yes! It's so fresh :)
DeleteLike you, I'm a total Lushie! That's actually how I discovered this blog- I was looking for reviews of Lush Fun, and was so impressed by your Fun owl! :D Each Peach isn't my favorite, but I love the Lush massage bars in general. I think that Soft Coeur and Friends with Benefits both smell incredible.
ReplyDeleteHi Ari, how awesome! :) I'm so tickled that you remember my Fun owl! Soft Coeur is simply delicious, I'd have to agree.
DeleteLooks awesome! I have to say you inspired me to pick up my first bath bombs (three to be exact) from Lush! While at the store, I was totally intrigued by their hair shampoo bars! I'd never heard of such! But why not? I'm anxious to try my bath bombs... if my twinadoes ever give me a few moments of mommy time that is! Great review! xo Carla
ReplyDeleteHi Carla, that's amazing, thank you so much for telling me! I'll have to ask you what scents they were sometime :) It took me a while to pick up my first shampoo bar too since I was so used to liquid shampoo. I hope you find some time to use your bath bombs soon :)
DeleteI love lush! I didn't even know they had an earth day set out!!! I wish the stores were a bit more spread out where I live. I only know of one lush! I'm really interested in getting this if they still possibly have this at my local lush! Amazing review! It's so detailed and straight to the point!
ReplyDeleteHi Mitzi, Thank you so much for the kind words! I hope you find yourself a 'Little Green Bag'! It may be around for longer than Earth Day too if that helps!
DeleteThis looks like a fab kit! I've not tried much from Lush, but have heard good things about their shampoos and am really tempted to give them a go. I actually have my eye on the Ultimate Shine Bar at the moment, but the Squeaky Green Shampoo Bar sounds (and looks) great too! The Each Peach Massage Bar sounds lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Nat, Thanks for the comment! I haven't tried Ultimate Shine yet, but I'm quite tempted (who couldn't use more shine?). I will add that to my to-try list :)
DeleteOh another must have from LUSH. I really love their products and I will def grab this bag. Kinda curious on the sexy peel soap.
