The Simply Vera eyeshadow duo in 404 has been my go-to color for the past few days. It's small, light, and looks beautiful when worn. I'm going to use Benefit Browzings as my brow powder since it comes with little tools that are annoying to use on a regular basis, but good for temporary travel. I've become fond of using MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Shadow in 2E as a thick, smudgy, and very pigmented eyeliner. You've seen Laura Mercier blush in Peach Whisper numerous times this month already. I'm all about matte peach blushes right now. I'm torn as to whether I should subject my NARS Sheer Glow foundation in Santa Fe to the heat of outdoor weather; however it does give me the best look for photos. 3Lab BB Cream* is more practical and has SPF, but it is a little light for my current skin tone. I might layer it underneath.
Hopefully this trip will be a success! What are you up to this weekend?
Love, Dovey

haha not too much stuff at all! I would have probably brought more, so I commend you on what you're bringing! I really want to try the dry shampoo from lush - it sounds like a miracle product!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, I'm so glad you approve! (Feeling proud). The dry shampoo was so key for camping. I felt like a normal person after I got some into my hair!
Deletegreat job at minimal packing all the basics are covered, have a great weekend!!! non stop rain for the east coast!! LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you J!! I hope the rain clears up :)
DeleteCamping, ah yes. Back in the days of my Duke of Edinburgh Award, we were only allowed to take one bottle of hand wash/facewash/clothes wash combined and a tube of moisturiser. It was a painful time for me.
ReplyDeleteNo mascara?
Hi Mopsy, oh my, that is quite minimal!! You've got a good eye :) I actually did stuff in a tube of mascara. I think if I didn't the sky would be falling :)
DeleteWe were in Yungas in the Andes and had to carry everything we needed for the whole trip.
DeleteI have never been so pleased to get back to hot water in my life.
have fun! I don't know that I would bring anything to go camping, but then again i would not be very easy to convince to go camping in the first place! LOL! I think i would only camp at yosemite and that's it haha
ReplyDeleteHave fun, Dovey! I'd probably just bring a sunscreen and brow filler if I went camping, but that's me and I'm lazy!
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny, brow filler is probably the most important for me too!
DeleteI was thinking how nice that makeup set looks for just every day simple look. Great picks (and pics) as always! Have fun at camp! :D
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, thanks! It's basic for me--- it's hard to commit to just one choice, even if you're only out for one day!
DeleteNot too much, but I admit if I was camping I'd probably just wear sunscreen... and try to stay out of photos ^.^
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, lol!! :)
DeleteI have been wanting to try the No Drought Dry Shampoo! I'd also love to hear more about the Lush eye cream as well, I have never heard anyone mention it!
ReplyDeleteHi Emma - will do! I'm planning to write about it soon :)
DeleteHave a great camping trip! It sounds like fun -- I just finished reading a book about hiking the Appalachian Trail, which has put me in the mood to be in the outdoors!
ReplyDeleteOh that does sound nice! I think the Appalachian trails have some serious hiking :)
