After swatching to our hearts content in the NARS 413 Bleecker NYC flagship store (read about it here), Ponyo and I took a skip, hop, and a jump down the street to the MARC JACOBS boutique and BOOKMARC (Marc Jacobs's bookstore). Above, you can see the boutique storefront. The boutique certainly has a youthful feel and is filled with color. I was particularly entranced by all the bracelets, and must have tried on nearly all the bracelets in the store.
We were there for too brief a time to do serious shopping, however I did pick up the cutest heart shaped MARC JACOBS mirrors as gifts. They're sold in both the boutique and BOOKMARC.
Marc Jacobs' fragrances were of course on display as well. Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh is the epitome of my favorite everyday scents. It's a fresh fruity floral that's easy to wear. I like it much better than the original Daisy, which I'm not that fond of. To be honest though, Daisy Eau so Fresh not a terribly original scent. The large sized bottle had the prettiest white, pink, and pale yellow plastic flowers attached. Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola! is spinoff of the original Lola fragrance. I didn't like Lola, but I do like Oh Lola. It's fruity and a bit more unique than Daisy Eau so Fresh. 
Here's a picture of the BOOKMARC storefront. BOOKMARC is a small corner bookstore. It had a selection of artsy books in addition to a large selection of Marc Jacobs iPad/laptop cases (see mine here) and small BOOKMARC souvenirs. There was the most bizarre eye sculpture hanging from the top of the store. The crazy part is that the eye blinks!

Oooh those mirrors ARE really cute! I would LOVE taking it out of my bag cause it's SO CUUUUTE. They eyeball's a tiny bit creepy though(especially since it blinks).

DeleteI like the rays of light in the photo of the Bookmarc storefront - cool! I love all versions of Daisy -- it's just a great, pleasant scent and men seem to like it too, which is always a plus :) Those heart-shaped mirrors are adorable!

ReplyDeleteThis may sound childish, but the thing I want the most from Marc Jacob are the mouse flats! I've been wanting them for a couple of years now, but the older I grow the more I hesitate about getting them (what would I wear them with? Also, wouldn't people laugh at me?).
